EURELECTRIC Electricity Award

The objective of this first ever EURELECTRIC Award, to be inaugurated at Barcelona, is to honour electricity companies or persons that have made a pioneering contribution towards revolutionizing the operations, processes, technologies or products of the electricity industry.

The field includes intensive research and development activities that have thrown up exciting innovations based on intelligent electrification at all stages of the business process – manufacture, warehousing, office operations, buildings management, sales, despatching, transportation etc.

Efficient electrotechnologies aimed at controlling greenhouse gas emissions, while at the same time ensuring secure energy supply at reasonable costs through a competitive market system, clearly also fall within the scope of the Award.

The Award will be presented by former EURELECTRIC Secretary General Paul Bulteel, in his capacity
as "European Electricity Ambassador" for EURELECTRIC.
