Henry Edwardes-Evans has edited Power in Europe since 2000. He is managing editor of Power in Asia and Energy in East Europe. As a trainee journalist at Financial Times Business, he worked on a number of energy-related publications before editing EC Energy Monthly and launching Energy in East Europe.
Stephen WOODHOUSE

Stephen Woodhouse, Director, joined Pöyry in 1999. He is an expert in market reform, from high-level policy design to the implementation of systems and processes for market participants. He specialises in the economics of transmission and interconnection; market regulatory policy across Europe and the Irish electricity and gas markets. Stephen managed the project to draft the Trading and Settlement Code for the Irish Single Electricity Market and was responsible for Pöyry’s multi-client project addressing intermittency in the UK and Ireland. Stephen leads Pöyry’s business development in the inter-related areas of intermittency, smart grids and market design, and continues to contribute to the debate on appropriate models for transmission charging and access. Prior to joining Pöyry, he was an Economic Modeller for Ofgem. Stephen has an MA in economics from the University of Cambridge.

Stephan Ritter is the General Manager of GE’s Renewable Energy business in Europe. He moved to this position in April 2009 and is based in Salzbergen, Germany.Stephan Ritter has been with GE for the past decade. Previous to his current role, he was with GE Enterprise Solutions – Sensing & Inspection Technologies where he served three years as the General Manager of Global Services. Prior to this position, he held roles as a Global Service Operations Leader for GE Inspection Technologies, Six Sigma Master Black Belt for GE Healthcare, and Business Leader for GE Capital IT Solutions Europe. Before joining GE in 1999, Stephan held various Executive Management & Managing Director roles in the Media industry including marketing, consulting and press relations.
Jerry O’SULLIVAN

Jerry O’Sullivan has been with ESB since 1981, holding the following main roles: 1981 to 1987, resident civil engineer on the construction of ESB’s 900MW coal fired power station at Moneypoint; 1987 to 1990, moved to the distribution side of the business; 1990 to 1993, moved to the retail side of the business; 1993 to 2002, Customer Services Manager for the Mid West and South West divisions, responsible for the distribution and customer service activities, including new connections, fault, maintenance and operations; 2002 to 2007, Head of Network Service, responsible for the previous activities on a national basis; 2007 to date, Head of Sustainability and Network systems.

Since July 2009, Gian Maria Ferrero has
served as Vice President and General Manager, Utility &
Power Plant Business Unit, EMEA, expanding SunPower
Utility and Power Plant business in Europe, Middle
East and Africa. Prior to SunPower, he had extensive
professional experience in energy, including over 25
years within the ABB Group, a global leader in power and
automation technologies supporting the utility industry.
He has also held various top management and executive
positions, gaining global corporate experience and a strong
knowledge of a large number of markets, mainly in the
power sector, conducting business in many countries, and
in all continents.
Gian Maria holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from
the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He
has also completed post graduate courses in Business
Administration and Finance.
