Welcome Cocktail – National Gallery of Ireland

ESB and NEA invite all delegates to a Welcome Cocktail that will convene in The National Gallery of Ireland. The National Gallery of Ireland is situated at Merrion Square, which is also home to many of the countries government buildings. The National Gallery of Ireland is a national cultural institution devoted to the collection and care of fine art dating from ca1300-ca1950.Comprising some 13,000 paintings, drawings, watercolours, miniatures, prints, sculpture and objects d’art, the institution’s extensive holdings include masterpieces by many of the most celebrated figures in the history of western European art from the Middle Ages to the twenty-first century, including the most representative collection of historic Irish art. Funded by the State, the Gallery provides free access to its public. The Welcome Cocktail will take place in the Gallery' s famous Shaw and Baroque Rooms.

Gala Dinner – O’Reilly Hall, University College Dublin

On Monday 14th June 2010 at 20.00, ESB and NEA invite participants and accompanying persons to the official dinner at O’Reilly Hall, University College Dublin. Established in 1854, University College Dublin (UCD) is a dynamic, modern university where cutting-edge research and scholarship provide a stimulating intellectual environment. For over 150 years , UCD has produced graduates of remarkable distinction. To accommodate the university’s phenomenal growth during the 1960’s and 1970’s, UCD relocated from St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin City centre, where it was first established, to the Belfield Campus. O’Reilly Hall encompassing an area of 2,632 square meters was built on the campus. The best of contemporary architecture and Irish Art have created O’Reilly Hall.
