The MENA Energy Transition: How to get investments right?

Renaissance Hotel

EURELECTRIC, Arab Union of Electricity (AUE) & MEDELEC organised a conference to address energy investment challenges and options for improvements in the MENA region. The latter consists of the Maghreb countries, but also Egypt, Jordan and Qatar, Dubai and Saudi Arabia. EURELECTRIC runs a dedicated group on the European Union’s neighbourhood, which includes the Energy Community as well as the MENA region.

Investments are the single most important challenge to which the European neighbourhood is exposed. Improvement and increasing foreign direct investment requires a sound and stable regulatory framework, as well as an agile energy sector and financial tools. The event gathers high-level representatives and experts from industry, government and financial institutions.

AUE is a private entity having 25 members from 18 Arab Countries.

MEDELEC is the prime partner to this event - to which EURELECTRIC is a founding member.
