Paul Golby

PAUL GOLBY Chief Executive, Powergen UK plc Paul was appointed Chief Executive, Powergen UK Plc in July 2002. Prior to this he was Director, UK Operations of Powergen plc from June 2001. He was Managing Director of East Midlands Electricity from December 1999, having joined EME in February 1998 as MD of the Networks Business. Before this he was an executive director of Clayhithe plc, where he was responsible for its specialist engineering division. Paul previously held various senior management positions in Dunlop and BTR, and was a director of a number of smaller quoted companies. He is a non executive director of AEA Technology plc and Midlands Excellence. He has a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering and is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical Engineers. Paul is married with three grown-up children and lives near Stratford-upon-Avon. He is a keen equestrian.
