EURELECTRIC organised its Annual Convention and Conference in Estoril in June 2017. This high level event was a unique networking opportunity for European and international power sector executives as well as business stakeholders and partners alike.

What does the race to deliver value to customers mean for utilities? Why is electrification the key to achieve a fully decarbonised society? Where do costs lie in a sharing economy? Which incentives should be in place to maintain a user pays approach? What is the sector landscape in 2050? These are just some of the key items that were tackled over the two day event by high-calibre speakers in a mix of keynote speeches, interactive panel discussions and live demonstrations of new and upcoming products and technologies.
As in the past, particular prominence was given to the traditional student and industry awards as an integral part of the programme. A sideline exhibition also complemented the event with innovative projects on display. A number of social networking events were also foreseen over the two day period.
