eurelectric welcomes the recognition of DSOs as key actors in the energy transition and the establishment of an EU DSO entity. The EU DSO entity must embrace all types of DSOs in Europe and its tasks should be carefully selected.
With the mandate of the Clean Energy Package’s Electricity Directive, the EU DSO entity is soon entering the EU institutional framework. Among the various questions on the table at the moment are how the EU DSO entity will interact with the existing EU institutions and what’s in the pipeline for the EU DSO entity.
