Eurelectric appoints seasoned advocacy expert as Policy Director

Eurelectric has appointed Henning Häder as Policy Director, starting 1 April 2020.

An accomplished expert in advocacy strategy and EU decision making, Henning Häder has engaged in political affairs throughout his studies and career.

Henning holds a master degree in international relations from Kings College in London and has served over 8 years in Eurelectric in various positions, most recently heading the association’s department for Energy Policy, Climate and Sustainability.

Over the years, Henning has deployed his expertise to a number of issues ranging from energy efficiency, emission trading, innovation and sustainability.

Most prominently, he has been instrumental in developing Eurelectric’s narrative on electrification and played a key role in the establishment of the Electrification Alliance which comprises nine major industry bodies and over 100 international signatories.

Henning’s combination of advocacy skills and industry track record makes him a very efficient operator. He will be an excellent policy director.

Henning Häder said:

There is a lot at stake for Europe in this political mandate. Enabling the power sector to decarbonise rapidly while putting efficient electrification at the heart of the Green Deal is crucial for us to have a successful energy transition.
