A derisking agenda for investments in the clean transition

14 April 2026

The energy transition towards a decarbonised and electrified EU energy system requires
sizeable clean investments, but these are not picking up at the needed pace

  • This is also due to companies, investors and financiers holding investment decisions due
to risk factors causing a negative outlook on the companies’ strain-to-gain leverage

and ease the companies’ strain-to-gain leverage to unlock investments
  • Derisking recommendations regard concrete measures for financing as well as regulatory
and policy stability, which is just as important to plan for investments
