Addressing this challenge, Siemens Smart Infrastructure and Delta have formalised a global partnership to deliver prefabricated, modular power solutions, designed to accelerate the deployment of data center infrastructure, while significantly reducing CAPEX. The global partnership will ensure hyperscale and colocation operators the highest performance in power management and reliability as they grapple with the demands of scaling infrastructure to meet AI and cloud computing growth.

By prefabricating and pre-testing these modular power systems off-site with an optimised layout, the solution provides a standardised, plug-and-play approach that reduces time-to-market by up to 50 percent, lowers construction risk, and maximizes valuable data center square footage. The efficient design can provide up to 20 percent CAPEX reduction and up to 27 percent lower carbon emissions by using less concrete in the space-optimised layout.
Designing the power solutions with Building Information Modeling (BIM) from the start, including third party products, enables real-time data integration into the building management system for improved performance, faster troubleshooting and more efficient operations over the lifecycle. This digital twin approach makes installation and commissioning faster while optimising the data center’s energy footprint. The detailed virtual model allows for enhanced collaboration, more accurate planning, and proactive issue resolution.
