Enel X Store
In March 2021, Enel X opened the Enel X Store in Rome, the first urban area for ultrafast charging, with the aim of making the experience easy, convenient, and fast. By applying experience design principles, we have transformed a former petrol pump into both a place dedicated to fast charging and a great showcase for our smart home and sustainable mobility solutions. A real 4.0 charging station in the city centre at the service of all citizens.
The Enel X Store in Corso Francia is the first urban area for ultrafast charging in Italy with four High Power Charger stations, which allow the charging of multiple vehicles at the same time. . Each charging point has up to 350 kW of power and allows electric cars compatible with high-power charging to fill up in about 20 minutes. In addition, there is also a JuicePole, with two 22kW charging points, and JuiceMedia, the integrated digital screen with two charging stations.
In the store, customers can discover and experience our solutions thanks to interactive areas dedicated to smart home, photovoltaic, e-mobility and other solutions designed to meet the needs of efficiency, safety, and sustainability . Customers, for example, can learn how to use the JuicePass app, and can purchase charging cables for cars or the JuiceAbility charging cable for electric wheelchairs. Furthermore, customers can discover zero-emission mobility with dedicated workshops and the possibility of test drives thanks to the partnership with Volkswagen Group Italia.
The investment was a joint effort from different teams within Enel X with the common goal of providing a seamless service to our customers. It took about 10 months to deliver the project, whilst interactingwith local authorities for the necessary permits. A few months after opening, the high power charging stations of the Enel X Store are the most used in Italy and the store is among the top 10 stores in Italy for the sales of B2C products and services such as photovoltaic, heat pumps, or the wallbox.
